World Mobile, a blockchain-powered mobile network with a shared economy model, has announced a major partnership with the Deto CME to bring blockchain-powered internet connectivity for millions of users in the Philippines.
In an announcement shared with Crypto.news on 5 February, World Mobile said that its cooperation with Deto Telecom’s holding company would expand the Internet access to more than 25 million Filipino. The Philippines has integration between new attempts to adopt crypto and blockchain.
As part of this strategic coalition, companies will take advantage of the decentralized physical infrastructure network technology of World Mobile along with the network of Dito CME operators.
According to the two companies, the goal is to increase mobile and broadband connectivity in the Philippines, with special attention to undested rural areas.
World Mobile Group CEO Mickey Watkins commented:

Extending blockchain-powered connectivity for rural communities is an important focus of the World Mobile and Dito CME partnership. In addition to the world mobile’s dipin technology, the platforms will integrate starlink-operated aircraft to increase coverage.
The partnership integrated DTaka, a blockchain-based e-wallet into the Dito CME ecosystem. DTaka uses a dual token model: a stabelcoin to convenience and convenience mobile money transfer, and a utility token for gamification and leyalty awards.
The rollout of new features, including DTaka Wallet, is scheduled to begin in 2025 within the Philippines. World Mobile and Dito CME are also planning to expand these capabilities in the World Mobile Series and DTaka apps in the coming months.
