The Cardano Foundation has sealed a strategic partnership with a state -owned information technology firm and the largest technology provider for the Brazilian government, Surviko Federal Day Processiono de Dados.
Surviko Federal Day Processiono de Dados, or Serpro, is a major software company. Meanwhile, the Swiss-based Cardano Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the development of the Cardano (ADA) blockchain network.

Why is this important?
Serpro is the top technology partner of the Government of Brazil, which strengthens digital solutions for more than 90% of the country’s federal administration.
Two institutions said that Cardano helped adopt blockchain in Latin America by joining the armies with Serpro. The major focus areas of cooperation include innovation and blockchain education, as well as digital infrastructure integration in the public sector.
Cardano’s blockchain, combined with the presence and expertise of Serpro in public administration, will run the government’s blockchain technology.
Up to 2,000 Devas for benefit between Cardano Academy programs
As part of this cooperation, the Serpro will bring the Cardano Academy program to its 8,000 employees. Of these, there are more than 2,000 developers.
“This partnership represents an important step to bring blockchain technology to the heart of public sector innovation,” said Serpro Director-Chairman Alexandre Gonclaves de Amorim.
He said:
“We are making Brazilian positions at the forefront of Digital Government’s change, combining Serpro’s wide public sector expertise with Blockchain Infrastructure of Cardano.”
Frederick Greygard, Chief Executive Officer of Cardano Foundation, said that working with the government is an important step. In addition to helping to modernize the public sector of Brazil through blockchain technology, integration means transparency and increase in better service distribution.
Partnership with Serpro follows Cardano AlignedOil giants owned by Brazilian state in December 2023. The strategic partnership also focused on blockchain integration and adoption in Brazil through the initiative of Cardano Academy.
Cardano’s ADA is one of the top cryptocurrency that has recently exploded amid news around the US Strategic Crypto Reserve.
