The new Hampshire is the latest American state to carry forward a bitcoin reserve bill for the Sadan, whose House Committee has approved the proposal on 5 March.
According to bitcoin laws, House Bill 302 The House Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee was passed in 16-1 votes. The proposal was introduced on 7 January by Republican Keith Ammon.
The HB302 has allowed the treasurer of the New Hampshire to invest eligible digital assets and any other legislatively authorized funds to invest any other legitimately authorized funds in valid digital assets and precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum.
To join the reserve, a cryptocurrency would have maintained an average market cap of at least $ 500 billion in the last calendar year. Bitcoin is currently the only property that is eligible.
Initially, Bill proposed 10% allocation and included Stabelin and Steaking Options, but A. Amendment The allocation was reduced by 5% and removed these provisions.
In addition, HB302 requires assets to be conducted in a qualified custodian or exchange-traded product.
With the approval of the committee, the bill has now gone on a full house vote. If passed, it will proceed to review another committee before going to the Senate for the final vote.
Currently, only seven US state bills including New Hampshire have moved forward at the House level, according to Bitcoin laws. Other states with bitcoin -related bills at this stage include Northern Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas. Meanwhile, Utah and Arizona are the only two states that have approved this phase.
Utah is moving among the American states in advancing the law related to bitcoin. On 21 February, the state Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee approved the Blockchain and Digital Innovation Amendment Bill (HB230) with 4-2–1 votes.
As reported by Crypto.news earlier, Trump is set to unveil the bitcoin reserve strategy at the White House Crypto Summit on March 7. In a recent true social post, the President suggested that the reserve may include Bitcoin and Ethereum with Etherem, solanda and cardano.
