Apple has quietly removed several crypto exchange apps from Japan’s app store at the request of officials.
Some Crypto Exchange apps are disappearing from Japan’s app store as the authorities have removed Apple many after raising concerns.
According to a Yahoo Japan ReportMobile applications for Bybit, Kucoin, Bitget, Mexc, and Lbank are no longer available in Japan’s App Store. These exchanges were earlier warned for operations without registration by Japan’s Financial Services Agency.
However, not all unlicensed exchanges are affected. The report states that the discovery of “Crypto Assets” or “Virtual Mudra” still brings apps from Crypto.com and Coinex.
