Berachain’s mennet is set to launch on 6 February, after a year the project released its public testnet and took advantage of more than $ 100 million in funding.
This week, an atherium virtual machine-compatible layer-1 blockchain called Berachain, after years of development, will roll its mennet for users on-chanting.
One x Post The Berachain Foundation was confirmed that the L1 Mannet is scheduled for launch on 6 February. “The TGE Mennet launch will be at the same time,” the Foundation wrote, referring to the token generation incident for Berachain’s ecosystem.
From February 5, users can also see the tokenomics of the project and check for cultivated aircraft during the year -long testnet period, which was opened in January 2024 with Kodename “Arto”.
Berachain’s proof-of-locidity chain
Berachain’s EVM L1 tapped the Cosmos SDK toolkit to dub “proof-off-locidity” to build a blockchain unanimous design, a model from the popular proof-off-set network system.
According to the team, the proof-off-locidity or pole requires users to secure the network by providing liquidity to “DEFI Primitives” instead of staking tokens only. The new EVM L1 uses a triple token system, which is divided into BGT for stacking, as indigenous gas tokens and stabeloin honey with bera.
To earn BGT, users must fund on-chain liquidity for decentralized finance ideas such as exchangers or lenders. Tokens cannot be purchased in open markets, only according to the design of the team. However, users can burn BTG coins to get bera tokens. Burned BTG is unbreakable.
In addition, the BGT deposited for the verifications generated the honey stabechoin prize through protocol fees and “bribe”.
Berachain is subject to development from 2021, after a non-fang token collection called “bong beer”. The NFT series and Berachain were built by a four-man team of co-founders named Pseudo-known under Monicors Home Bera, Dev Beer, Papa Bear and Smoki The Bera.
The team sold $ 42 million in a private token sales in April 2023 and $ 100 million in a series B round by Brevan Howard Digital Branch and Framework Ventures of Abu Dhabi.
