Spanish bank BBVA is starting a crypto trading service, which enables customers in Spain to buy, sell and manage bitcoins and atheriums through its app.
The amount of property, the second largest Spanish financial institution by BBVA, is ready to roll a new crypto trading service in Spain, allowing customers to purchase and manage the two largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, bitcoin (BTC) and Etharium (ETH).

After the launch, the BBVA Cryptosate regulation comes after completing the regulatory formalities under the markets – also known as Micah – with Spain’s financial regulator.
Banks said that customers in Spain will be able to manage their crypto transactions along with their regular banking activities. BBVA will use its own custody platform for cryptographic keys without relying on third -party providers.
“We want to make it easier for our customers to invest in cryptosets with a simple, accessible offer, which are directly available directly from our mobile phone, in a completely digital way. Our goal is to guide them as they detect this new segment of digital assets, supported by solvency and safety assurances provided by banks such as BBVA. ,

The bank already offers similar services at Switzerland and Turkeya, where it introduced Crypto Trading in 2021 and 2023 respectively. In Türkiye, Garanti BBVA provides detention services for several cryptocurrency. In Switzerland, its local unit launched bitcoin trading in 2021, later added support to Stabecoin USD coin (USDC) of Atherium and Circle.
