An avalanche introduces visa crypto card for spontaneous global expenses



In partnership with the Avalchal Foundation, Rain, the avalanche card has been launched.

The card is a physical and digital payment card that allows users to spend cryptocurrency, anywhere the visa is accepted, according to a release shared with the crypto.

The avalanche card supports USD coin (USDC), Tether (USDT), wrapped avax, and avax (Avax), which aims to simplify cryptocurrency payments for everyday purchase. The new offering removes the requirement of complex conversions by enabling direct expenses, making it a practical option for users in limited banking infrastructure areas.

According to Awa Labs President John Wu, the initiative is about creating a cryptocurrency “is familiar as to swipe the credit card.”

Visa and Crypto

Last November, Crypto.com launched its visa payment card program in Latin America, expanding its cryptocurrency-linked rewards card in the region.

The card allows users to preload funds using cryptocurrency wallet or fiat currency through the Crypto.com app. It offers prizes at seven levels, including 8% cash back, service discounts and airport lounge access.

Similarly, using a visa network, the avalanche card offers a safe and accessible payment option, which strengthens the widespread commitment of avalanche for decentralized finance access.

With an initial rollout in South East Asia, Africa and Latin America, avalanche card digital assets have been deployed to adopt the mainstream.
