Crypto Exchange Bybit is no longer on Autorite Des March Financers of France Blacklists after regulatory investigation over two years.
On Feb.14, bybit CEO Ben Jhou announced on his X account that the company had solved its ongoing issues with the AMF. According to Jhou, the Bibit compliance was working closely with the French regulators to address the issues. AMF confirmed that bybit no longer appears in its list of “unauthorized companies and websites”.
Jhou also mentioned that the Exchange Crypto-asset is working towards achieving a market in the regulation license, allowing it to be operated in the European Union. Despite its progress in France, bybit is still facing regulatory challenges in other countries.
In India, the exchange was fined ₹ 9.27 crore ($ 1.06 million) to break the money laundering laws. This regulator came only a few weeks after stopping services in the country due to concerns. When officials in Malaysia forced the company to stop operating, Bibit faced additional international difficulties.
In other news, Jhou has denied reports that he will join the PI network. He revealed The X was requested to join the PI, but refused, citing his prior experience in FX trading, where refund requests were common. Although exchanges such as Bittgate, MexC and Okx have confirmed their intentions to list the coins, bybit has not yet issued an official statement.
Pi Coin’s Mennet Launch, which is operated by PI network, has been scheduled on February 20, 2025 at 8:00 UTC. Due to the official announcement, the price of PI Coin was spike despite the earlier delay. The IOU value for PI, which is transferred debt tokens used on the exchange platform, until the mennet goes live live, already appearing in many markets.
